An Audience with Sam Youd
Does pruning leave you simply stumped? Can't tell your hostas from your hydrangeas? Learn the answers to all these questions and much more at 'An Audience with Sam Youd' on Friday May 30th 2008. As part of its contributions to Cheshire's Year of Gardens '08, Tatton Park will be hosting an exclusive evening with Sam Youd, Manager of the award-winning gardens at this celebrated Cheshire estate. The evening commences at 6pm with Pimms on the Italian terrace and a rare opportunity for our guests to explore the gardens 'after-hours'. They will then be directed to the Tenants' Hall to enjoy 'Bothies, Bell Jars and Brussels Sprouts', as Sam, Tatton's green-fingered guru, shares amusing stories, inside knowledge, and experience gained in over 45 years in gardening. Sam commented 'gardening is infectious and I'm really looking forward to passing on the plague to a few more people! Even after 45 years gardening and 29 years here at Tatton, there is still so much more to learn. This is a great opportunity for me share my enthusiasm for gardening and for us all to join in with an enjoyable evening'. If you would like to join in with the debate on extending slug-pub opening hours or simply to learn what it is like to live onsite at this magnificent estate, call 01625 374428 or visit our website at www.tattonpark.org.uk 'An Audience with Sam Youd' takes place on Friday May 30th 2008 from 6pm. Ticket prices: £20 per person (including Pimms refreshments, Garden entry and 'An Audience with Sam Youd'). Call 01625 374428 or visit |
