Salt has been produced in Cheshire for over 2,000 years and it is the only place in Britain where it is still produced on a large scale. The Salt Museum tells the intriguing story of mid-Cheshire and the industry that has shaped the landscape and lives of those who live here. With a lively programme of temporary exhibitions and events for schools and families there really is something for everyone.
